Visiting Auntie Helen and Uncle Butch

Mom, Dad, Jonny, and I went to visit auntie Helen and uncle Butch in Courtney. Auntie Helen had just had her second surgery to kick cancer's ass and it was successful. YAY! Auntie Helen is a super healer and a trooper. She has a great attitude and is very spirited. It was hard to believe that she had just been operated on. She looked and sounded great. I pretty much expect her to be running around by tomorrow.
Before we left on our little adventure to the island I needed to get some long pants and bigger sweaters to fit my huge body.
Jonny did a great job helping me shop again. Thanks Jonny!! Eyes closed picture.
Mom and Dad picked us up at 10:30 on Friday and we caught the 12:30 ferry from Horseshoe Bay to Nanaimo. The Frank Hurt football team was also on the ferry. I don't think they saw me.
 I love getting driven around.
We stopped for lunch at the Cactus Club in Nanaimo. I am making a monkey face with the monkey queen.
Dad got THE BURGER. It wasn't as good as the one he had with Sam at the Cactus Club in White Rock.
 Mom had a chicken salad.
We met up with Uncle Butch at the Flying Canoe.
Where they made mom gluten free pizza.
The Best Western was all decorated up.

The next day we ate at a restaurant named Fluid. I had a huge clubhouse sandwich.
Mom had a gluten free chicken burger.... with a bun.
 Dad had the salmon burger.
Jonny had the ahi tuna tacos.
Whose truck do you think this is?
Uncle Butch's new ride. It is a right side driver. Here is Jonny catching a ride.
Pregnant me resting on the super cozy bed.
Mom and Dad found a game room in the hotel. It was fun for a few minutes. What else are you going to do in the rain?

Jonny and Dad playing some pool.
Uncle Butch lent this book to dad.
Checking out my girth in the mirror. Jonny getting a picture.. thanks Uncle Pat for making him take pictures of my pregnant belly. (sarcasm) Look at my super impressed face.
Saturday night there was a 7.7 earthquake up in the Queen Charlottes and a tsunami warning was issued for coastal areas of BC. Fortunately, there was no big wave.
Jonny couldn't sleep on Saturday night so he watch Ghostbusters one and two.
The sun was shining on the ferry ride home. We caught the 12:30 ferry back to Horseshoe Bay.
 Back on the mainland.
And home to my beautiful love flowers.
Thanks mom and dad for inviting us to go and see Auntie Helen and Uncle Butch with you.
Here are a few more pictures from Dad's phone:

Ankle Day 13

It costs 30 000Rp for half an hour to use the computer at this hotel! I pay like 2 000 back by my old place. It bugs me that it is so expensive... but I guess I am paying for convenience. I am stuck. I can't run away and I can't do what I want when I want. I am dependent on other people and it is great that I have those people.. but I am so independent.. that it is ... sucking in my brain. Ya know? I AM the kid who will run home and go to bed when she is done. I can't do that now. I have to wait or ruin people's fun. WHA! hahaha.. I am fine. Everyday is getting better and today is off to the doctor. It will be Sam's first time meeting Dr. Brown! Today at 12 is also the last day of my antibiotics! Sam is making me ask the doctor if I can have beer... there will always be that double standard! He is taking care of his sister.. but come on.. I had a screw put in my ankle I deserve a beer!! They shoulda had a cold Bintang besar waiting for me as they woke me up from my

California Toddler Tripping: The Last Few Days and Home

Here are a few photos and a video from the last few days of our vacation. This was the best family vacation to date. Of course there were tough times traveling with a toddler but we overcame each challenge as a family and amazing memories were made. I feel very lucky and appreciative to have such an amazing life.  AND… one more video: And then… back to the rain :-( We got another patch for Auntie Mary's quilt.
